Pull Up a Chair: Introducing the Vox Meditantis Podcast

Pull Up a Chair: Introducing the Vox Meditantis Podcast

I’ve always loved the idea of a cozy book club. There’s something special about sitting down and really chewing over a story or a concept with someone else. So, I’ve decided to bring that same energy to Vox Meditantis through a bit of mixed-media experimentation.

I’m excited to announce a new podcast series that accompanies my writing. Using NotebookLM, I’ve created audio overviews where two hosts dive into my blog posts. It isn’t just a dry summary. Instead, they discuss the themes and ideas as if they’ve just finished reading the latest post for their book club.

What to Expect

The podcast will be a mix of the old and the new:

  • Fresh Content: I’ll be releasing audio discussions alongside my newest blog posts.
  • From the Archives: We will also be digging back into the archives to give some of my older pieces the “book club” treatment.

Whether it is a deep dive into the physics of love, a psychological look at Peter Pan, or a bit of imperial history, these episodes offer a different way to engage with the stories. I hope this adds a little something extra to your experience here and gives you a new perspective on the topics I’m exploring.

How to Listen

You can find the podcast at the links below:

Moving forward, I’ll be including a link to the specific audio overview at the end of every new post. If you don’t have the time to read or just fancy a listen while you’re on the go, the hosts have you covered.

I’d love to hear what you think of this new format. Grab a cup of tea, hit play, and let’s get into it.

I think this is very cool and I kicked around this idea for awhile. I was just not sure what to do yet. NotebookLLM is a very cool tool. I will check them out. Good luck with the project.

Thank you, Kevin! It’s definitely worth experimenting with. One of the things I’ve found most impressive about NotebookLM is its ability to handle hundreds of sources at once within a single project.

Because it manages that volume so well, I’ve actually used it to produce a retrospective of some of my earlier writing, including poetry collections and multi-part stories. It’s been a great way to tie those older threads together. I appreciate the luck and hope you find the tool as useful as I have!
